CONNECTING HANDS AND HEARTS TO PASSION AND PURPOSE
YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Give an hour. Give a Saturday. Give your best. We all have special talents - things we can do to help. Put your talents to work for your community.
Whether it’s reading to children, or leading financial literacy classes for hard-working families, or delivering meals to homebound seniors, there are opportunities for you to make a hands-on impact in your community every day.
Through United Way's Volunteer Center, you can volunteer your time and talents to help others and make a difference in your community.
The Volunteer Center matches individuals and groups with volunteer opportunities. Call Anna Baker at 423-752-0316 for more information, or click the button below to create a volunteer profile and search available volunteer opportunities.
Join I Help Chattanooga
United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on Education, Stability and Support: the building blocks of a good life. But we can't do it alone. We need the heads, hands, and hearts of committed people like you to help us tackle the problems facing our community.
A HandsOn Action Center
United Way's Volunteer Center has been officially designated as a HandsOn Action Center. HandsOn is the largest volunteer network in the nation and includes more than 250 Action Centers worldwide. These centers work "community-wide" across various issues to develop high-impact volunteer programming.
Through building relationships with nonprofit, school, faith-based, corporate partners and others, Action Centers play a critical role in leveraging volunteer power to the fullest effect. United Way of Greater Chattanooga is pleased to be an affiliate of the HandsOn Network and is looking forward to utilizing the extensive resources afforded by the partnership to better serve the community.
