United Way of Greater Chattanooga offers its deepest sympathy to our neighbors affected by the tornadoes that caused wide-spread destruction across our region on April 27. In the wake of this natural disaster, United Way is working to engage in long-term recovery efforts to ensure a bright future for affected communities.
United Way is working with private, public, faith-based and community partners to assess the long-term recovery needs of the community. Additionally, United Way is assisting response agencies in the provision of food, shelter, emergency health and transportation for those affected by the tornadoes.
