Thank You Volunteers!
April 15th, 2011
We sometimes find it hard to place a value on our community service volunteers, the more than 100,000 local, unsung champions who help our communities thrive. During Volunteer Month, United Way's Volunteer Center would like to extend a huge thank you to all who have given their time to advance the common good. You have improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of area individuals through your commitment.
You may have heard that United Way Worldwide has set an ambitious goal nationwide to recruit one million volunteer readers, tutors and mentors over the next three years. There is something for everyone with the passion and commitment to get things done. And you can get going right now.
Celebrate Volunteer Month with United Way's Volunteer Center by taking one of more of these three actions:
Thanks again to all who volunteer. We’re better for it as a community and as a nation, because when you reach out a hand to one, you improve the condition of all.
