united way of greater chattanooga

December 21st, 2011

The Giving Tree Program is now closed. Everything has been distributed and 2-1-1 can no longer refer callers for gifts.

The demand this year was huge and we served more than 100 families this year, a more than 25 percent increase over last year.

The United Way's 2-1-1 Call Referral Resource Center is always closed weekends and will be closed December 26 and January 2 for the holiday season.  On all other days 2-1-1 can be reached between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

2-1-1 uses a messaging service when closed. The services takes messages from callers and refers them to the 2-1-1 managers the following morning or next work day.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the extremely high call volume during the end of the month, call wait times may be as high as 20 minutes. Please be patient as our call managers assist all callers as fully and efficiently as possible.
