Signal Centers, a United Way supported program, has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a 12 month position for an Americorps VISTA!
The VISTA will incorporate the needs of Veterans and Military Families into Signal Centers' programs, create educational materials to increase community awareness of these services and benefits, recruit Veterans to serve as volunteers for Signal Centers’ programs and services, and more!
During service, the VISTA will receive a modest living allowance, health care, and other benefits. And, upon completing service, can choose to receive either a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or post-service stipend.

What is AmeriCorps VISTA?
AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Authorized in 1964 and founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965, VISTA was incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993. VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for more than 45 years.
