The 2012 Mud Run with the Zombies is a 5k mud run with more than 12 unique and fun obstacles to challenge runners, to be held on Saturday, October 27 at 8 a.m.
Located at 588 Piney Road in Trenton, GA, the 5K and other events are held at a farm located between the bottom of Lookout Mountain and Lookout Creek.
The setting is remote and beautiful. There is one thing, however, that contestants may want to know. Zombies are rumored to live on this farm….so runners beware.
The Zombie Mud Run is a challenging event that has something for everyone. Along with the 5K Run with the Zombies, there will be a kids' race, a sled pull, and prizes for the best costume of the day. Live music, good food and beverages will make this an event for everyone to enjoy.
This event is generously sponsored by Volkswagen and Lineman College of Trenton (gold sponsors), EMS Electric Motor Sales & Supply (silver sponsors), and Century Insurance (bronze sponsor).
Farm gates open at 7:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The kids' race starts at 9 a.m. and the first wave of official 5K participants run at 9:30 a.m. The sled pull is held later in the morning at 11 a.m., and entertainment takes the stage at 2 p.m.
Race registration is as follows: $65 for solo men, $65 for solo women, and $200 for teams five. First and second place awards will be given in each of these categories. The kids' race is free to children ages 13 and under – kids register day of race.
