This year, the Tennessee Valley Institute for Nonprofit Excellence (TVI) is going to be different. Yes, you heard that right! How: This year TVI will be a NON•CON."What is that?" you may ask.
It is an Uncommon Nonprofit Conference, aka a Hybrid Unconference. Interested yet?
What is the essential question? How can nonprofits ride the wave of entrepreneurship and innovation that already exists in Chattanooga? Our keynote speaker, sponsored by the Southeast TN Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, is Matt Kouri. Matt is a social entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Mission Capital in Austin,Texas, where he leads the organization’s efforts to solve big community problems and strengthen nonprofit organizations. His expertise includes social innovation and enterprise, nonprofit mergers, board governance, strategic business planning, and leadership development.
What else is it?Don't worry! It will feel familiar with a keynote and breakout sessions, but they will be different. The keynote speech will be shorter and more interactive. The breakout sessions will be introduced by the presenters through a series of five minute "Ignite" presentations. You choose the Ignite session you want to attend. Highly interactive, these sessions will be spark conversations that you will explore more in-depth during the afternoon breakouts.
Group rates make this conference affordable so your whole team can attend and learn, and limited scholarships will be available for CNP members. For more information on group rates and scholarships, please contact Cathy Mendez at email@example.com.
