Parking Day, Sept.16

September 12th, 2016

Parking Day is September 16

United Way will celebrate all things related to Imagination Library, early childhood literacy, bookmarks and fairies on Parking Day, held this year on Friday, September 16, on Market Street from the 700 to the 900 blocks, and from the 100 to the 300 blocks of East MLK Blvd.

We'll be signing up children under the age of 5 for free books. And we'll make bookmarks, kids can swim in the touch pool, and the Bookmark Fairy will read books all day.

The mini parks lining the street will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit Parking Day's  Facebook page  for more information.
