Project Ready for School's Annual Birthday Party

Every September (usually the third Sunday), United Way's Project Ready for School celebrates its birthday with a huge party at a local park in the greater Chattanooga area. This celebration is FREE to the public and everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun.

Families that join the party can enjoy the following:

  • Free snacks, drinks and birthday cake
  • Free developmental learning check-ups
  • Free book enrollments
  • Free early learning DVDs
  • Bubble making
  • Story time
  • Arts & crafts
  • Face painting
  • Games & activities

The party is part of Governor Phil Bredesen’s Imagination Library Week in Tennessee and it caps off a fun-filled statewide celebration of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. Imagination Library Week is packed with events – such as our Project Ready for School birthday party – that are aimed at boosting enrollment across the state.

Call Anne Gamble at 423-752-0333 to find out when the party will be held in 2009 or to get more information about free books for your children.
