Student United Way
Developing young leadership is critical to the future success of communities. Today, young adults are important volunteers, advocates and donors on college campus and in their local community. Tomorrow, they will be the employees, leaders, and investors who are essential to our communities’ continued success. United Way is providing leadership by engaging young people through the launch of Student United Way, a student-led community change organization at local college campuses. This effort includes:
While developing leadership and professional skills, young people are helping United Way advance the common good by focusing on the building blocks of a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, income that supports a family through retirement, and help for those in need. In return, United Way is developing lifelong relationships with the next generation.
