10,000 Hours Show
You Volunteer, You Rock

United Way 10,000 Hours Show (UW10K) is a year-round student-led campaign to recruit and recognize volunteers that culminates annually with a free concert for volunteers. It is organized locally, from volunteer outreach to concert production.

Through volunteer fairs, group volunteering and peer-to-peer outreach, the student leaders of UW10K, a core group of 10 to 50 students, mobilize their campus to get out and volunteer in the community. The real “Show” of UW10K is the peer-to-peer outreach effort by student leaders to get more young people involved in volunteer service. More than 4,000 student volunteers have served more than 110,000 hours with UW10K.

Where is UW10K? The following campuses and communities have UW10K:

United Way’s Campus Engagement work is supported nationally by Deloitte, FedEx, Gatorade and CheapTickets.
